Version: 1.0.16 · Target release: October 8, 2026 · Published by: Telegent Platform Team
🚧 Upcoming release (alpha/beta). This entry documents the v1.0.16 release targeted for October 8, 2026. It is published ahead of go-live so partner links stay stable — the behavior below is not live in production until the release ships. Self-service reactivation ships in or shortly after this release.
This release changes how number cancellation works: cancellation is now immediate on the carrier and goes through a two-stage, auth-code-confirmed flow. Cancelled numbers enter a 30-day recovery window before they are permanently released.

Breaking

  • Cancellation is now a two-stage flow. Cancel a number with POST /v1.0/numbers/cancel-order-request (returns an AuthCode + consent statement), then POST /v1.0/numbers/cancel-order-submit (confirms and cancels). Cancellation is immediate on the carrier.
  • Cancel removed from POST /v1.0/numbers/status. Sending "StatusChange": "cancel" now returns 400 — Cancel has moved to POST /numbers/cancel-order-request.
  • No future-dated cancellations. Cancellation happens when it is submitted; there is no effective date.

New

Numbers - Cancel Order Request — stage 1: validate numbers and receive a single-use AuthCode (5-minute expiry) plus the consent statement. No numbers are cancelled yet.
  • POST /v1.0/numbers/cancel-order-request
Numbers - Cancel Order Submit — stage 2: submit the OrderId + AuthCode to cancel immediately. Returns Complete / Failed with NumbersChange and FailedChange.
  • POST /v1.0/numbers/cancel-order-submit
  • New guide: Cancelling Numbers — the full two-stage flow, AuthCode rules, consent statement, the 30-day window, and error reference, with sample payloads.

Enhanced

  • Number lifecycle & 30-day recovery window. A successful cancellation sets the number to Cancelled - Pending Delete for 30 days (reactivatable for a $5 recovery fee per number), after which a nightly job flips it to Cancelled (permanently released). Filter with GET /v1.0/numbers/inventory?Filter=Cancelled%20-%20Pending%20Delete.
  • Reactivate (beta) — 30-day / $5 model. POST /v1.0/numbers/reactivate is being updated from the old 24-hour window to the 30-day window with an automatic $5 recovery fee per number. Ships in or shortly after v1.0.16 — until it is live, reactivation is handled manually by Telegent support.
